Course Description
Strategies to reduce economic pressure on hospitals. Responses to consumer demands. Identification of clinical data and hospital program costs related to hospital staff and social norms. Quality management and hospital management. Evaluation lists for identification of hospital programs and hospital conditions. Staff productivity improvement. Hospital programs management reports (HPMR). Introduction of planning, procedures, functions, departmental cooperation. Low-quality practice costs and management. Projections of scope and productivity, staff demands, compensation costs and models, budgetary and payment scenarios, program objectives, program results measurement indicators. Monitoring of financial and clinical effectiveness, recognition of options and definition of corrective actions: presentation of the Koprivnica Project. Croatian hospital standards: how to use them for hospital management? How to prepare a hospital for accreditation process? Standards as a stimulation for quality assurance: comparison of standards of the US Joint Committee with the existing hospital standards. Project presentation. New technologies and new thinking. Team work.
