Sadržaj
Glavni je zadatak akutne skrbi da služi pacijentima koji su u takvu stanju bolesti ili povrede da su simptomi najozbiljniji , a život ili blagostanje u najvećem stupnju rizika. Akutna skrb pokriva široku frontu usluga, od hitnih trauma do subspecijaliziranih medicinskih skrbi. Predhospitalna i hospitalna hitna medicina moraju biti integrirane sustavima komunikacija, znanja, protokolima i vezama sa liječnicima obiteljske medicine, grupnim praksama te domovima zdravlja i njihovima službama.
